Campus Ambassador Program Rules
Last updated: May 2026
1. What this is
The WorkGPS Campus Ambassador Program lets enrolled students earn rewards for introducing their peers to WorkGPS. These rules describe who can participate, what counts as a valid referral, how rewards work, and what behavior will get an ambassador removed from the program. By submitting an application or accepting an ambassador role, you agree to follow these rules.
2. Eligibility
- You must be a current student with a valid academic email ending in
.edu. Your academic email is collected separately from the email you use to sign into WorkGPS. - The pilot program is currently open to students at Benedict College only. Other schools will be added after the pilot.
- Participation requires founder approval. We may verify that the
.eduaddress you provided actually belongs to you before approving your application. - WorkGPS may decline any application at our sole discretion. Not being selected this round does not prevent you from re-applying when the program opens to additional schools.
3. How rewards work
Approved ambassadors receive a personal referral code (for example, JANEB-7K2). New users who sign up for WorkGPS using your code count as your referrals.
- Tier 1 — Free Pro for the month: if at least 10 verified peer signups arrive through your code in a calendar month, your WorkGPS Pro subscription is comped for that month.
- Tier 2 — $5 cash bounty per qualified paid conversion: if a peer who signed up via your code becomes a paying WorkGPS Pro subscriber and remains paid for at least 30 consecutive days, you earn $5. Bounties are paid out by PayPal on a monthly cadence.
- If a paid referral cancels or refunds before the 30-day mark, no bounty is owed.
- WorkGPS may adjust reward amounts or thresholds at any time with reasonable notice. Existing qualified bounties are honored at the rates in effect when they qualified.
4. What counts as a valid referral
- The referred person is a real human being (not you, not a bot, not a duplicate account).
- The referred person learns about WorkGPS from you and uses your referral code or link to sign up.
- The signup uses a genuine email address belonging to the referred person.
5. What's not allowed
- No self-referrals. You may not sign up under your own code using a second account, burner email, or any other identity.
- No fake or coerced signups. No bots, no accounts for people who didn't ask to join, no purchased traffic, no offering money or services in exchange for someone using your code.
- No spam. Don't post your referral code to spaces that prohibit unsolicited promotion (DMs to strangers, unrelated subreddits, mass email blasts, comment threads where it's off-topic).
- No misrepresentation. Don't pretend to be a WorkGPS employee or imply features, pricing, or terms that aren't real. If you're unsure whether a claim is accurate, ask first.
- Respect campus rules and venues. Follow your school's posting, club, and recruiting policies. Get permission before promoting at events, in classes, or through campus channels where permission is required.
- No harassment or unwanted contact. If a peer asks you to stop contacting them about WorkGPS, stop.
6. Verification & anti-abuse
We monitor referrals for patterns associated with abuse — bursts of signups from the same device or IP, signups with disposable email domains, signups from accounts that match the ambassador's identity, and cancellations clustered just past the 30-day qualifying window. We may delay or withhold a bounty while investigating a suspicious referral pattern. If we conclude the pattern was abusive, those referrals will not qualify for rewards.
7. Suspension & removal
- WorkGPS may suspend or remove an ambassador at any time for violating these rules, for violating the WorkGPS Terms of Service, or at our reasonable discretion.
- When an ambassador is suspended, their referral code is deactivated immediately and new signups through that code will not be attributed.
- Bounties that already qualified (30 days of paid retention completed) before the suspension are still paid out. Bounties tied to referrals that had not yet qualified at the time of suspension are forfeited.
- You may withdraw your application or step down from the program at any time. Contact us to confirm payout of any qualified bounties.
8. Privacy
The data we collect from ambassador applicants and approved ambassadors — including your academic email, application answers, referral code, referred-signup attribution, and PayPal email (for payouts) — is described in detail in the WorkGPS Privacy Policy. We use this data solely to operate the Ambassador Program; we do not sell it or share it with advertisers.
9. Taxes
You are responsible for any taxes owed on bounty payouts you receive. WorkGPS does not provide tax advice. If your total payouts in a calendar year exceed reporting thresholds set by US tax law, we may ask you for additional information needed to issue a tax form.
10. Independent contractor relationship
You are not an employee, agent, partner, or representative of WorkGPS. Nothing in these rules creates an employment or joint-venture relationship. You have no authority to make commitments on behalf of WorkGPS.
11. Changes to these rules
We may update these rules from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date. Continued participation in the program after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated rules.
